Effective from 21 September 2026 · applies to tungo.xyz and my.tungo.xyz
Tungo is operated by Digital Blue Solutions Limited ("Tungo", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15686184, with its registered office at 14 Wharfedale Street, Wednesbury, WS10 9AG, England.
These terms cover the Tungo website at tungo.xyz and the learner app at my.tungo.xyz (together, the "Service"). They don't cover software.tungo.xyz, which is an internal staff tool and isn't available to the public.
By creating a Tungo account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree to them, please don't use Tungo. If you're agreeing on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have the authority to do that.
Tungo gives you short, repeatable language-learning tasks designed to fit into small amounts of time. Depending on what's available for your language pair, this can include Word Zoom, Snapshot, Sound Check, Missing Word Game, and text-to-speech practice.
We're always changing and improving what's on offer – individual tasks, languages, or features may be added, changed or removed. We'll try to avoid removing something you're actively relying on without reasonable notice, but we can't promise every feature will be available forever.
Pronunciation audio in Tungo is computer-generated (text-to-speech). We choose natural-sounding voices for each language, but a recording may occasionally differ from how a native speaker would say a word.
New accounts start with a 7-day free trial with full access for one language pair, and no payment details are needed to begin. Once your trial ends, you can choose one of these plans, billed monthly in pounds (GBP) in the UK, or in euros (EUR) in the EU countries that use the euro, with any VAT included:
Plans are paid monthly in advance, after your free trial. You can cancel at any time, and you'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Because your plan is sold through Link, refunds are handled by Stripe. You can ask for one through Link support, or write to us at support@tungo.xyz and we'll take it up for you. Stripe applies any cancellation or cooling-off rights the law gives you where you live. None of this affects your legal rights.
You can cancel your plan at any time – see section 5. You can also close your account entirely at any time from your account settings, or by asking us at support@tungo.xyz.
Please don't:
We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules – see section 11.
The Tungo name, logo, app, lesson content, and game formats belong to us or our licensors. Your account gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own learning – it doesn't give you any ownership over it.
This includes the word lists and the audio recordings in the Service. You may not download, copy or share the audio recordings outside the Service.
Tungo can be used by people of any age. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to you using Tungo, and they're responsible for how you use it.
Only an adult (18 or over) who can legally agree to these terms can pay for a plan. Whoever pays confirms this when they choose a plan, and is responsible for the payments. The Student Plan, which a tutor invites you to, costs nothing.
We aim to keep the Service available whenever you want to practise, but we don't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available every minute of every day. We may need to pause access temporarily for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our reasonable control, and we'll try to keep any planned downtime brief.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms – including the acceptable use rules in section 7 – or if we reasonably believe it's being used fraudulently or in a way that could harm the Service or other users. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why. If we close your account for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we'll refund the unused part of your current billing period.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, we're not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Tungo is provided for personal, non-commercial language practice, and we don't guarantee any specific learning outcome or result.
If something's gone wrong, please contact us first at support@tungo.xyz so we can try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute that we can't resolve directly is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time – for example, if the Service changes or the law requires it. If we make a significant change, we'll let you know before it takes effect, such as by email or a notice inside the app. Continuing to use Tungo after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
